Use this software to identify balloons while you're on the field or as a fun and handy reference any time. Published as an eBook, it is compatible with the Palm OS operating system.

How to use the Locator:
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta® Balloon and Pilot Locator for the Palm[tm] is a point and click application implemented as an eBook.

Links are underlined, just touch one with the stylus to navigate. After the Locator is installed the Palm Reader icon will appear on the ALL menu. Click the icon to view the pilot and balloon information.

There are several pre-sorted lists that can be used to navigate to a particular balloon and/or pilot. From the main screen, choose the list that suites you needs. All lists work in a similar fashion and eventually lead to a balloon information screen. For example: if you are on launch site J11 during a morning event and want to know which balloons are assigned to the site you will point and click as follows:

1) Select "Launch Sites" from the Home page screen.

2) Select "Hot Air - All 9 Days" from the list of events.

3) Select "J" from the index of launch site rows.

4) Page down until you see the balloons assigned to J11.

5) Select Desert Drifter to view detailed information.

6) The information on desert drifter is displayed including an image of the balloon.

7) Page down to view pilot, launch site, and crew information.
